TWSP training is free for all professionals and practitioners but please ensure that when you complete your Ollie account form that you complete the billing details section. This is needed in the event of non-attendance or late cancellation, or where a course is chargeable. You will be notified if there is a charge for the course for non-attendance.

Training events - Late cancellation and non attendance charging policy

Demand for TWSP training courses is high and places are limited, meaning that not everyone will be able to attend a course on their preferred date. If you have booked a place on one of the TWSP training courses and are subsequently unable to attend, we require a minimum of five working days notice of any cancellation, so that the place can be offered to someone on our waiting list. Where a cancellation is not received within this five day period or there is no attendance at the training course without prior notification, the employing agency will be invoiced for the full training fee. This cancellation fee applies to all organisations, including contributing partners.

Further information can be found in our charging and cancellation policy.

The Herbert Protocol

The Suffolk and Norfolk Safeguarding Boards, along with police colleagues from the respective constabularies sought out the story of the original ‘Herbert’, tracking down the manager of the care home where Herbert lived in north Norfolk, back in 2010. Herbert’s story explains how the now well-known Herbert Protocol began and the jointly funded animation, aims to raise awareness and ensures his legacy lives on. While the original protocol was about supporting Herbert within his local community, the idea was recognised by Norfolk police as a way to help find people who may go missing much more quickly, by having quick reference information immediately at hand. Adult Social Care are conducting this survey on behalf of NHS Digital.

Can you raise awareness of this survey and inform the individuals you support about this survey and encourage them to participate if they receive a copy. This survey will be sent to a randomly selected group of individuals who receive care and support services funded or arranged by Telford & Wrekin Council.

They will receive a questionnaire, along with a covering letter, which they need to complete by 7 February 2025. The questionnaire seeks their opinions on the services they receive and their quality of life.
