Safeguarding Week 2024

Safeguarding Adults Week Timetable

Safeguarding Adults Week is a time for organisations to come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues. The Ann Craft Trust have themed the week around ‘Safeguarding Yourself and Others’ and the following free live events hope to raise awareness of these themes.

Please find the full timetable here.

The Herbert Protocol

The Suffolk and Norfolk Safeguarding Boards, along with police colleagues from the respective constabularies sought out the story of the original ‘Herbert’, tracking down the manager of the care home where Herbert lived in north Norfolk, back in 2010. Herbert’s story explains how the now well-known Herbert Protocol began and the jointly funded animation, aims to raise awareness and ensures his legacy lives on. While the original protocol was about supporting Herbert within his local community, the idea was recognised by Norfolk police as a way to help find people who may go missing much more quickly, by having quick reference information immediately at hand. Please see the video here.
