Are you looking for something to do in February half-term? We've got lots of things to keep your kids busy...
February half-term is fast approaching and we’re launching another action-packed week of activities for kids to keep them entertained.
Families can make the most of activities on their doorstep at leisure sites across the borough, between 12 February and 18 February, for just £1.
Activities on offer include swimming, tennis, golf, tobogganing, soft play and lots more – encouraging people to stay local and spend less.
It’s looking like a chilly half-term this year but that isn’t stopping the Urban Games.
A mix of activities are available for young people from toddlers to teenagers, there’s something for everyone including Wild Telford nature activities (outdoor) supported by Shropshire Wildlife Trust - helping younger children to learn about the world around them and develop a love for nature.
While others such as football, cricket, learning to ride a bike, BMX-ing and hockey are all aimed at young people aged eight and older and will be hosted in community centres or venues on people’s doorstep.
As half-term coincides with Chinese New Year what better way to learn about it than with Chinese dance and arts sessions for all ages.
Finally, back again for one day only is the hugely popular America-style wrestling class at Randlay Community Centre on Friday.
Starting on Saturday 10 February...
We’ve got children’s play areas*, gardens, cycle* and walking trails including the Veterans trail or why not try the bench-to-bench walk - perfect for young families.
Adventure and disc golf will open daily from 10am – 2pm (last play)
Exotic Zoo is open daily 11am – 4pm
Graham Stokes Funfair will be on in the Arena, open 11am – 5pm (weather permitting). 10 – 18 February
