Free English & Maths course
Functional Skills maths and English courses are designed to help adults develop and demonstrate skills needed for everyday life and work. As an alternative to GCSEs, they can also support people to gain access to further and higher education.
Who are these courses for?
If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t have maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent), you can access our free functional skills courses, build your confidence with numbers and gain a qualification.

Are you looking to improve your English Skills or do you know someone whose English is not their first language? We are running English Language/ESOL Information and Screening sessions this December at Meeting Point House, 3 dates and times to choose from.
- You will be tested in this session so that we can offer you a place on the right level of English course for January 2024.
- Fees may apply, eligibility depending on individual financial circumstances.

Location: Hadley Holy Trinity Church
This course will give you ideas and the opportunity to have a go at making tasty gifts for family, friends and neighbours of all ages. It will also help you work out costings, portions, and effective ways to get the most out of your ingredients.

Multiply is a new government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills.
If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t have maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent), you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and gain a qualification.

Our Family Learning courses enable you to spend one to one time with your child in a familiar setting in order to support them with school work. We also offer parent only learning with a focus on developing your own skills. A free crèche can be provided subject to demand.
