Welcome to our first Learn Telford Newsletter
What is Learn Telford?
Learn Telford is Telford and Wrekin's adult education and community learning provider - rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
We deliver high quality learning opportunities for people living in the borough.
Our courses range from two hours up to 1 or 2 years depending on which course you choose.
Why do courses with us?
- Learn Telford courses are a great way to learn new skills, improve your confidence and wellbeing or to support you into employment or learning if that is your goal
- Our courses include subjects, such as crafts, wellbeing, cooking, Functional Skills, ESOL and Access courses which can help you get into University. We also offer Family Learning courses to enable you to support your children's learning
- We offer courses based in local informal settings and schools across all of Telford delivered by supportive tutors
- Our provision is delivered in a friendly environment to small groups of learners
- Most of our courses are free or have low course fees
- Where possible we offer courses to fit around school hours for those with caring responsibilities
- We offer online training
- We provide all the resources necessary for the courses.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programmes are delivered at a range of levels - from beginners with low level English speaking skills to advanced level. Eligibility: Adults aged 19+. Course fee may apply.

Functional Skills Maths and English courses are designed to help adults develop and demonstrate skills needed for everyday life and work. As an alternative to GCSEs, they can also support people to gain access to further and higher education.

Multiply is the Government-funded campaign within the Skills for Life Strategy and aims to support adults to improve their skills and confidence with everyday maths. Multiply offers easy access to free courses and initiatives where you can build your confidence in using numbers at work or in everyday life, or even gain a qualification.

We are offering the opportunity for you to register to use our FREE online Maths skills checker. You will be able to see the level of your Maths from entry 1 to level 2 and understand if there are areas of numeracy you might want to improve.
Don't worry - there is no pass or fail mark!
