Some areas have moved into higher tiers but Telford and Wrekin remains in TIER 2 - High Alert

The government has announced CHANGES to the Christmas bubbles and travel restrictions...
We are all now being asked to do the following:
🏠 STAY LOCAL - Do not travel out of the borough to help prevent the spread across regions.
❌ DO NOT mix households indoors
🎄ON CHRISTMAS DAY - Three households can mix indoors but you should consider this carefully as the risk of contracting or spreading the virus still very much exists. Please do everything you can to protect the elderly and the vulnerable.
New Strain
It has also been confirmed that there is now a new variant of coronavirus that is more easily transmitted, so we all need to take even more care to protect ourselves and others.
Please REMEMBER
👐 Hands - wash hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
😷 Face - wear a mask where required
⬅️➡️ Space - keep 2m apart from others
This new strain will make its way to Telford and Wrekin so we need to take precautions NOW!

Get Tested
It's now more important than ever that if you have any symptoms no matter how mild that you GET A TEST. The existing tests will be pick up the new strain too.
There is capacity at all of our centres and it only takes 10 minutes.
