!! COUNCIL SERVICES UPDATE!!
Following government's announcement (on a 4 week lockdown for England), the following Council services must close from Thursday, 5 November to Wednesday, 2 December:
- All council run libraries
- All leisure centres. We will be in touch with aspirations members and other customers with booking during the lockdown period.
- Horsehay Village Golf Centre
- Telford Ice Rink
- Telford Town Park Visitor Centre
- Registrars – for booked weddings
- Oakengates Theatre will remain closed
Unlike lockdown earlier in the year, all other Council services will continue as normal.
Over the next few days, we will be providing more information about the local impact and the additional support available.
Council Leader Cllr Shaun Davies will also be holding a Live Q&A on our Facebook page on Tuesday, 3 November - from 5.30pm.
Please remember - until Thursday, we remain in a COVID ALERT HIGH and TIER 2 restrictions still apply in Telford & Wrekin.

New walk-through test centre set to open in Oakengates
The site build of a new walk-through coronavirus testing facility has begun in Oakengates at The Place car park, with the site set to open on 3 November.
The walk-through test centre aims to make testing accessible for all, as quickly as possible, in a convenient location.
