Coronavirus update from
Telford & Wrekin Council

Bulky waste collection service resumes
Our bulky waste collection service has resumed today (7 July), with safety measures in place for the safety of the public and members of staff.
All waste and recycling services are now operating in Telford and Wrekin.
It is expected that demand for the bulky waste collection service will be high, so people may have to wait longer than normal for a collection slot. There will also be fewer collections slots a day as staff will need to carry out additional safety measures, so please bear with us.
Outdoor gyms set to re-open as Leisure Centre preparations continue
Outdoor gyms across the borough are set for a phased re-opening from Friday 10 July following new Government guidelines released last week.
Cabinet to provide laptops following Government scheme shortfall
Council Cabinet Members have launched their Laptops for Learning scheme to support hundreds of children who have fallen between the gaps of the national scheme announced in April. This will provide more than 250 extra laptops to children above the national scheme.
