Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin Public Meeting
The Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin Board have decided to cancel their planned Public Board meeting which was due to be held in Newport on 16 March 2020.
The Board apologise for the cancellation and advised that it is purely a precautionary measure. This meeting will be rearranged at a later date and more information to follow soon.
Engagement into the future of care for adults with learning disabilities is now well under way – but we still want to make sure as many people as possible take part.
Can you help us think beyond the obvious? Do you care for, or work with, an adult with a learning disability? If so, we want to hear from you.
We want as much input as possible so we, along with our communities and partners, can provide advice, information, care and support that is aspirational, modern and meaningful for adults with learning disabilities and their families.
We need your help to promote the engagement, but also to take part yourselves and let us know how you see the future. Visit www.telford.gov.uk/LD for all the information.
Full details are available on the site, along with some frequently asked questions and the opportunity to download posters and leaflets to help promote the engagement activity.

Connected - new conversations about severe and multiple disadvantage
Over the last few months, Lankelly Chase have been sharing several reports that expand our understanding of severe and multiple disadvantage – in different places and contexts – as a series called ‘Connected.’
They are now offering small grants (£1,500 – £3,000) for charities, community groups, networks, relevant statutory organisations, educational institutions or partnerships who want to use their new reports as the starting point of a new conversation in their own sector or local area, or who think they will add clout to conversations they are already having about severe and multiple disadvantage.
