Community Sport and Health Apprentice Host

Interested parties and partnerships are invited to express their interest in hosting a Community Sport and Health Apprentice as part of a health improvement project by Wednesday 22 January 2020.

Telford & Wrekin Council is launching an open competitive process for the selection of a host partner/partnership for the Community Sport and Health Apprentice.  The Apprentice and host will form part of a wider place based project which offers support to local people and communities to improve their health and wellbeing by getting involved in sport and physical activity.  Target groups within Telford and Wrekin to benefit from this project have been identified within the background information.  The Apprenticeship (training & salary) is to be funded through Telford & Wrekin Council.

Interested parties (whether individual organisations or a consortia of organisations) are invited, at this stage, to express their interest by reviewing the background information and completing and returning the expression of interest template (sent on request).

Following this first step (expression of interest), shortlisted organisations, who, in the opinion of the Council, can offer the best support, commitment of assets and achievement of community health & wellbeing outcomes will be invited to an interview.  Following this the opportunity will be awarded.

All expressions of interest should be emailed and submitted to Public Health, not later than Wednesday 22 January 2020 to public.health@telford.gov.uk
