Our preparations to keep things moving during the snow and ice are in place, and we are recruiting volunteer Snow Wardens to help keep footpaths in their local communities clear.
Clearing footpaths can be a lifeline to those who are unable to clear them for themselves. Volunteering as a Snow Warden in your neighbourhood doesn’t take up much of your time – just the time it takes to shovel snow off a nearby path and sprinkle with salt.
All our volunteer Snow Wardens are provided with a training pack, hi-vis vests, snow shovel and supply of salt ready for the arrival of the white stuff.
