Feeling Unwell?

There are a number of ways you can help take care of yourself and your family especially during winter

The campaign, by Telford and Wrekin CCG, uses the slogan ‘Take Care Telford’ and aims to remind people that the fastest way to getting the right healthcare advice and support they need is often via their local pharmacy, GP or by calling NHS 111.

Different languages and formats
Macmillan produces information in different languages and formats to suit different needs. These include translations, audiobooks, easy read and British Sign Language videos.

Setting up/developing support groups.
If you’re thinking about setting up a new support group, or if you’re already involved in a group and would like to develop it, our Macmillan Engagement Leads are here to help you.

In your area
Macmillan has Information and Support Services in both Telford and Shrewsbury which offers people affected by cancer access to high-quality, comprehensive & appropriate information and support for all stages of the cancer journey, in a safe and confidential environment.

Funding opportunity for your local park

The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government is inviting applications from community groups interested establishing a new pocket park or refurbishing an existing park.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is providing a £1 million fund to support the development of new pocket parks and to refurbish existing parks that have fallen into disrepair where their restoration could have a significant positive impact on the local community and address a specific local need.

Completed application forms need to be returned by 5pm on Friday 25 January 2019.
