Snow Wardens - recruiting now

Snow Wardens

With the winter period fast approaching we are seeking more volunteers to become Snow Wardens in their local area, helping us get prepared for when it is needed.

Who are Snow Wardens?

Snow Wardens are volunteers who play an active role in their community when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

They are people who care about their community and helping others.  They help clear the footpaths of snow and ice in their local communities and also let us know if their grit bins need a refill.

We ensure all our Snow Wardens are given the training and equipment they need to carry out their duties.  Ongoing support and advice are given throughout the winter months.  The Council also keeps in touch via email and social media and notifies them of any adverse weather forecasts.
