Weather forecast - up to 10cm of snow could fall

Our newsroom has a handy round up of everything you need to know about the weather, so please do give it a look.

The main things are that there there could up to 10 centimetres with the heaviest snow falling tonight. There will still be very windy conditions so more snow drifts are a possibility.

For today the Met Office has issued yellow weather warning for snow and ice, on Saturday there is also a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.

Gritting update

Our gritting teams have been out throughout last night. They went out again 4pm to help keep the traffic moving and then returned to depot for refill around 6pm. They will then head straight back out again.

We will be monitoring conditions throughout the night and grit as and when required. As always, stay safe and help others where you can. If you see the gritters give them a wave as they are working very hard at the moment.
