Following the success of last year's event, parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are invited to attend the upcoming Let's Talk SEND information event:
Thursday 30 November, 10.30am-1pm
Brady Arts and Community Centre
192-196, Hanbury Street, E1 5HU
It is a chance to hear from senior leaders about the Local Area SEND system. There will also be an information marketplace with stalls and updates from education, health and community services that support children with SEND or an Education, Health and Care Plan.
Organised by the Tower Hamlets Independent SEND Parent Forum and featuring the borough’s Parent and Carer Council, parents can also take the opportunity to hear how they can join local parent forums and take part in volunteering opportunities.
Parents will be able to book ‘bitesize’ 10 minute surgeries with services that support families who have children with SEND – a suggestion made by parents at last year's ‘Let’s Talk SEND’ information event.
The event will be focused on providing information to families who have children with SEND but all Tower Hamlets families are welcome to attend and booking is not required.
If your child has missed their flu, HPV, meningitis or other vaccinations at school, they can still get a vaccination by attending a local clinic.
