Each month we share information, advice and opportunities for you to join our networks, support groups or parenting sessions.

Get your skates on and more family fun this half term holiday

Get your skates on and enjoy this free family event, organised by Sports and Physical Activity, Children and Family Centres and the Parks and Open Spaces teams. Take part in synthetic ice-skating, games, face painting and lots more.

2. Flower

Community planting at Prospect Park

Help Prospect Park bloom by planting some bulbs at one of the community planting days at the park.

Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy a hot drink, meet some new friends and you even get some free bulbs to take home!

3. Archery

Childcare for the February half term

The Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare Scheme is Ofsted registered and provides childcare for children aged 3 to 13 years old.

The next Holiday Childcare Scheme will take place on:

6. Drama

Half Moon Theatre drama clubs for young people

Half Moon Theatre deliver weekly after school drama clubs in community spaces around the borough, during term time.

They are relaxed spaces where young people in school years 7, 8 or 9 can use drama to build confidence and make friends. Skilled facilitators structure each term to suit the needs of the group, nurturing their skills.

Let’s connect for Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 will take place from 6 - 12 February and this year’s theme is ‘Let’s Connect’. 

The theme is about making meaningful connections for all, during Children's Mental Health Week and beyond.

8. Hug

Platform to Talk- Supporting Children’s Mental Health

To coincide with Children's Mental Health Week, February’s Platform to Talk session will explore ways parents can talk to their children about mental health.

There will be lots of opportunities for parents to share their experiences and concerns with other parents. In addition, parents will pick up some practical ideas on how to support their child's emotional wellbeing and help build their resilience.

FIS

Join Our Time Youth Forum

Our Time is an all-ability forum run for and by young people between the ages of 14-25 years, with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The forum welcomes young people of all abilities. Becoming part of Our Time is a great way to build confidence, find out more about SEND and promote inclusion for all young people.

Our Time Youth Forum meetings will be held at Spotlight in Langdon Park, E14 on every third Thursday of each month. New members welcome!
