Halloweek returns - try your hand at apple bobbing, the unlucky dip and arts and crafts.

Applying for a nursery or reception school place for September 2023?

To support families with the nursery and reception school application process, the Transition Support Service in partnership with Pupil Services are offering free online advice sessions.

Reception application advice sessions (children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019):  Book here

  • Tuesday 15 November, 1pm
  • Wednesday 7 December, 6pm
  • Friday 13 January, 10am
  • Wednesday 1 February, 10am

Reception application deadline: Sunday 15 January 2023. 

Nursery application advice sessions (children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020): Book here

Stand up to bullying

Join this online Platform to Talk session that links in with Anti-Bullying Week. You will become more aware about bullying and the effect it can have on children. You will pick up some useful tips on responding to bullying and discover ways we can help prevent it.

Upcoming parenting courses

There are still places available on these parenting courses that will be delivered in person in the E1 area:

  • Triple P Family Transitions

Wednesdays, 2 November - 7 December, 10am - 12.30pm

For parents who have separated from their partner and would like support working through this change while maintaining a positive environment for their children. 

Family Transitions is not a mediation programme and ex-partners are not expected to do the course together.  If both parents would like to do the course, they will be invited to attend separate groups.

 

  • Emotional First Aid

Wednesdays, 9 November – 14 December, 10am - 12.30pm 

This course helps parents explore their own feelings and gain an understanding of their own and their children’s emotional wellbeing.

Are you a parent of a child with SEND?

Join us for the upcoming Let’s Talk SEND information event

Parents and carers are invited to the upcoming ‘Let’s Talk SEND’ information event, with stalls and updates from services that support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Co-produced with the Tower Hamlets Independent SEND Parent Forum, hear an update on the borough’s SEND improvement journey and future plans.  You can also meet a range education, health and community service providers.

Big Draw 2022 – Colour Vision

For this year’s Big Draw, Rich Mix and Art Hoppers invites families to get creative with colour mixing and lights!  The fantastic activities will help you explore the different ways your eyes see colour through filters, the way colours make you feel and the optical illusions we can make with contrasting colour combinations.
