Fruit and veg

Fruit and veg voucher project for families launches in Tower Hamlets

Last week the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project was launched at three local children's centres in Tower Hamlets in partnership with Chrisp Street Market.

Families on low incomes with young children under five will receive weekly vouchers; £3 of vouchers for each child, every week, or £6 if the child is under one.

The project will support families in the Isle of Dogs, Poplar, and Chrisp Street and can be exchanged for fresh fruit and veg of their choice at Chrisp Street market, supporting the local food economy and market stall holders.

Children with autism at mealtimes

Supporting children with autism at mealtimes

Children with autism often develop very specific struggles with food and mealtimes. They may reject more food than they eat, preferring very specific textures or flavours, eating only foods that are familiar, or even failing to eat more than five different food items. To support parents, Elemy has recently created a free guide looking at ways to support children at mealtimes.

Young Minds

Young Minds - advice and information for children and young people

Young Minds provides young people with tools to look after their mental health. Their website is full of advice and information on what to do if you're struggling with how you feel.

Young Minds empowers parents and adults who work with young people, to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives.  The organisation aims to give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in.
