Top marks for health and happiness in our schools

The Mayor of London has released the latest list of Healthy Schools London award winners, which revealed Tower Hamlets to be the most successful borough in London.

We achieved the highest number of awards by borough in every category — Gold (58) Silver (97) and Bronze (84) — accounting for approximately one-in-ten of all awards given across greater London. It was also one of just twelve boroughs (32 total; 28 participating) to achieve a 100 per cent school’s registration rate in the Healthy Schools London programme.

Vaccination clinic

Volunteer - vaccination site marshals needed

Vaccination site marshals are urgently needed to support GP practices in Tower Hamlets to deliver Covid-19 vaccines, including booster jabs. Volunteers will act as a reassuring presence at vaccination sites across the borough. Marshals are non-clinical roles - volunteers will not be administering jabs.

You do not need to commit to the same shift or site every week, so roles are very flexible and can fit around your other commitments. Shifts generally last 3 or 4 hours.
