Antisocial behaviour week

Extra patrols to target antisocial behaviour

We've been out in full force with local police this week to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) for Antisocial Behaviour Awareness Week. Teams have been conducting extra patrols and holding daily street briefings, where members of the public can speak to officers about what we’re doing to tackle ASB, how to report it, and what support services are available.

We have also held daily weapon sweeps in and around parks in the borough, where Tower Hamlets Enforcement Officers have found knives, a machete, a hammer and large quantities of cannabis – these are now off our streets, helping to keep our residents safe.

Keeping you safe at hospital

The Royal London Hospital recently reopened its 15th floor unit, dedicated to caring for patients with Covid-19 who require critical care. This is so they can separate Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 pathways and protect elective care activity, which they intend to keep running for as long as possible.

Protecting everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing continues to be a top priority so hospitals are maintaining all safety measures, including wearing a mask at all times.
