New 10 Minute Shake Up Games - Change4Life
Change4Life have teamed up with Disney, Pixar and Marvel to create brand new play-along 'shake up' games, designed to encourage movement and physical activity, whilst having fun. The website will launch the new games and relaunched quiz on Monday 5th July, so parents are encouraged to check the website then. The regular favourites including ‘Inside Out’, ‘Frozen’, ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Big Hero 6’ are all still currently available on the website.
Local Youth Football - FA Searchable Database
Is your child inspired by the Euro 2020 football championships? Perhaps England’s 2-0 win over Germany has been the main talking point at home! London FA (The FA are the National Governing Body for football) have a searchable ‘Find Football’ database which can be filtered by age, gender, disability football and type of football; from just play, 5-a-side or regular football clubs. There is also an option to search for ‘Weetabix Wildcats’ which offers non-competitive girls’ football, led by FA qualified coaches, which is based around having fun, making new friends and trying football for the first time.
Home Sports Day - Get Active with Team GB & ParalympicsGB
The postponed Tokyo Olympics are scheduled to take place between July 23rd and August 8th 2021. Team GB and ParalympicsGB have designed a sports day that you can enjoy at home as a family, which uses simple everyday equipment and household items. The inclusive and challenging activities are designed for primary-age children, but the activities will get the whole family moving and having fun! The resource consists of a scoresheet, easy to use parent guide and five 10-minute activities that can be delivered in the home or garden.
 Tennis at Home Activities
The 134th Wimbledon Championships started on Monday, after being delayed by a year. The LTA Youth Home Activities Hub is full of tennis activities for the whole family. The LTA is the National Governing Body for Tennis. The hub consists of tennis at home exercises - with short demonstration videos, activity cards, personal development challenges and cross-curricular activities.
"Growing up I wasn’t the richest, but I had a rich family in spirit. Standing here with 19 championships is something I never thought would happen. I went on court just with a ball and a racket and with a hope."
