Tower Hamlets has one of the lowest Covid-19 testing rates in London and we need your help to change it.
Testing finds Covid-19 cases and stops further spread, because people can self-isolate when they know they are positive. This protects everyone.
In recent weeks, a small number of Covid-19 variants of concern have been identified in Tower Hamlets. These variants of concern were first identified in Brazil and South Africa. These variants of concern are not more harmful but may be more easily spread or respond to current vaccines differently.
This is why everyone aged 11 and over who lives, works or learns in Tower Hamlets should take a free Covid-19 test, even if you have no symptoms. We have increased testing sites and collection points across the borough.
For more information on how you can get a test, please click on the link below.
Or call our helpline 020 7364 3030, open 9-5 Monday to Friday. Translators are available.
The Big Ask: The largest ever survey of children and young people in England
The Big Ask is a survey for children and young people aged 4–17 in England. They’ve split the survey into different age groups, so children and young people can fill in a version appropriate for their age. There is also a survey for those aged 18+, care leavers, parents, or if you work with children.
Help more children to be active
Active Recovery Hub have launched a free online resource aimed at schools and families and hosts hundreds of ideas to get children moving. The resources will help more children reach their target of taking part in 60 minutes of physical activity a day.
Advice and guidance for parents and carers in conflict or separating
All parents and carers sometimes argue with one another, but sometimes, conflict between parents or carers can increase to a level that is not healthy for the family. This can happen for lots of reasons. The clinical team at the Anna Freud Centre has put together some tips for parents and carers experiencing conflict, and advice on reducing the impact of conflict between parents and carers on children.
"The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do."
