PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR TEACHING STAFF and PARENT CONTACTS
The Healthy Lives Team Families update contains helpful information and activities for your whole school community
This is the FAMILIES newsletter from The Healthy Lives Team. Each Friday we share relevant information, activities and resources to support your ongoing health and wellbeing.
The HEALTHY LIVES TEAM supports schools, pupils and families with everything to do with health and wellbeing. We want to help you to live fitter, healthier and happier lives.
We now have a Healthy Lives Team webpage where you can find out more about the team and access Healthy Schools resources and all our archived newsletters.
 Weekly wins diary
The Scouts have produced template diaries for children and families to record little victories and work out what acts of kindness do for wellbeing. Using the diary template, come up with three weekly wins or use it to record when something nice happens e.g. what happened? When did it happen? Who did you help? How did you feel after? This can be completed as a family or on your own. At the end of each week you can share as much, or as little as you like. Looking back at ‘little wins’ will be nice to look back on if anyone is unhappy or worried about something.

Advice and guidance for parents and carers in conflict or separating
All parents and carers sometimes argue with one another, but sometimes, conflict between parents or carers can increase to a level that is not healthy for the family. This can happen for lots of reasons. The clinical team at the Anna Freud Centre has put together some tips for parents and carers experiencing conflict, and advice on reducing the impact of conflict between parents and carers on children.
