Gambling

Youth gaming and gambling - Raising awareness and building digital resilience

The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) are a leading National charity collaboratively delivering the UK’s national education programme to those that work with young people (age 7-25), to raise awareness around the potential harms associated with gaming and gambling.

Their training and resources are free of charge and fully assured by City and Guilds and have been designed to enable teachers to deliver sessions directly to young people. They can deliver a bespoke training session online via a free two and a half hour webinar, or individuals can book directly onto an open online session.

The training is delivered in two parts. If you have any further questions please contact sandythompson@ygam.org or call 07494 964 888.

Moki

Encouraging children in Tower Hamlets to keep active

Moki is an activity tracking wristband and software application that provides a safe, simple and fun way for schools to engage their students in an active curriculum. Four schools from Tower Hamlets have signed up for the London Sport Active Schools initiative, wearing bands to track their physical activity during the Autumn term.

They are designed specifically for schools and contain the same technology used for contactless payments, making it easy and secure to transfer data. They also have a long lasting watch battery so there is no regular recharging required.
