For some people staying at home can be isolating so it's important that while you are at home because of coronavirus you make sure to take some time to look after your mental health.
Staying at home can be frustrating and the current situation could lead to people being worried or anxious about their health or their family and friends' well-being.
By taking some time to plan a routine and set goals you can find a way to stay in touch with friends and family, plan activities you enjoy and make sure you get the right amount of physical exercise and sleep.
Modern technology can go a long way to helping people feel connected and keep active. Use the phone, email, messaging apps, video chat or social media to stay in contact with friends and family to seek and give reassurance.
There are some fantastic resources online which could help you learn a new skill, reconnect with an old friend, take part in a virtual pub quiz or even stream a live concert or theatre event.
Try to go out once a day if you are able to, making sure to follow social distancing guidelines. If you can’t do that then bring the outside into your home by opening windows, spending some time looking at the world through your window or heading out into the garden for some fresh air
Follow the advice from the government, The Mental Health Foundation or the NHS to make sure you take care of your mental health. There is also specific advice for parents and carers supporting young people's mental health during this time
