Support Worker Apprentice (2 positions available!)
Salary: Minimum wage

The Disabled Childrens Short Breaks & Outreach Service supports disabled children and their families who live in Thurrock. We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic people to join our team as an Apprentice Support Worker.

Council apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged 16 or over living in England and not taking part in full-time education.

  • Legal Administration Apprentice
    Salary: Minimum wage
    Closing date: 30 September 2018 - Location: Cvic Offices
    This apprenticeship would suit anyone looking for a career in business administration and will include the following responsibilities: Answering the telephone; collecting, scanning, logging post and distributing where necessary; sealing of legal documents; maintenance of databases; diarise and file correspondence; general administrative tasks and duties as required.
  • Care Assistant Apprentice
    Salary: £8,103 to £15,108 Per Annum
    Closing date: 23 September 2018 - Location: Thurrock
    The role will be working as part of a team to promote personalisation and re-ablement where possible, while assisting in achieving the delivery of outcomes for residents within their own home.

We would like to offer this opportunity to all NEET young people who are interested in honing in their literacy/numeracy skills. 

Tracy Howells will be available every Wednesday  10am to 11 am  in the INSPIRE YOUTH HUB to offer Maths/English tuition to NEET young people who need to improve their skills.

Courses are for young people aged between 16 – 18 years and work on a roll on roll off basis, meaning young people can join courses throughout the year depending on spaces available.

37 Weeks courses, 16 hours per week over 4 days, Either between 9am to 1pm or between 1.30pm to 5pm depending on level and availability.

- Business/Admin – Level 1
- Health & Social Care Level 1 & 2
- Construction Level 1 & 2
- Motor vehicle – Level 1 & 2
- Traineeships – 14+ Weeks
