Have your say on our draft Local Plan
A new draft Local Plan for the period to 2040 is open for consultation for eight weeks, until 2 April 2024, following its approval at January’s Full Council meeting.
The Local Plan sets out the planning policies and principles required to meet development needs such as housing allocations and land for employment uses, while recognising the importance of conserving and enhancing the local environment and heritage.
Residents, business owners and visitors to Test Valley will be able to comment on the proposals within the plan in a number of ways, including in writing, by email and through an online survey. Printed copies of the plan will be available at the council offices and libraries.
A number of drop-in sessions have been arranged, to discuss the proposals. For more information on these sessions and how to have your say, click the button below.
Public invited to creative workshops on new Broadleaf Park art trail
Two artist-led workshops will be held in February at the Rownhams Community Centre, inviting the public to get involved in the creation of a new art trail in Broadleaf Park.
The art trail, commissioned by us using Section 106 money from the Broadleaf Park housing development, will consist of a collection of small-scale artworks that lead from the urban space into the natural environment. The idea is to encourage people to get outside and explore the green space around their homes.
