Collection days change following bank holidays. You can find out how your collection days will change on our website.
Find day changes for the festive period
Find out when collections are due to take place from your property.
We will work as hard as possible to collect on time, however due to the volumes of waste and recycling after Christmas, this is not always possible. If we are delayed, please leave your containers out and we will collect them as soon as possible.

Getting rid of extra waste
We understand you may have additional waste following the festivities. If so, please spread this over a few collections, to help us to collect on the days we’ve planned.
You can take extra waste to a recycling bank or the recycling centre.
The recycling centre is open every day of the year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
We empty recycling banks Monday to Friday except for on bank holidays.

Garden waste collections break
There are no garden waste collections between Monday 25 December and Monday 8 January. Garden waste collections will restart on Tuesday 9 January.

Our website has further information on how to recycle your Christmas waste.
If you are unsure if your wrapping paper can be recycled, give it the scrunch test, if it stays scrunched it can be recycled in your green box with your cardboard.
Wrapping paper cannot be recycled in your paper recycling sack due to the quality of the fibres.
