Business Coronavirus Update - 8 June

Businesses can keep up to date on all Government Covid-19 support schemes via the GOV Business Support website. As many of the support schemes will be administered through local authorities, we are also keeping our TDC Business Support page up to date as and when further details from Government emerge. Discretionary Business Grants

Status: Live

The new discretionary grant scheme for businesses who were not eligible to apply for the previous Business Support Grants are now available.

Visit our website to see if you are eligible, find out what you will need to apply and to start your application. 

Please be aware that you will not be eligible for this scheme if you:

  • Started trading after 11 March 2020
  • Are in administration, are insolvent or where a striking-off notice has been made
  • Were eligible for the other Business Support Grants issued by Teignbridge District Council

Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme

Status: Live

Small businesses and employers across the UK who have paid Statutory Sick Pay to staff taking coronavirus-related leave will be able to claim back the money through the Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme.

Businesses with fewer than 250 employees can apply. Find out how to make a claim on the Government's guidance webpage.


Working safely during COVID-19

Guidance has been released for people who work in or run shops, branches, stores or similar environments.

The guidance document is to help employers, employees and the self-employed in the UK understand how to work safely during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, keeping as many people as possible 2 metres apart from those they do not live with.
