Change is coming to local government, with the government planning to replace district and county councils with new unitary authorities delivering all your council services.
The government is holding a consultation on the possible options for Devon – and we need you to tell the government what services matter most to you, and what you need from a new unitary authority.
The changes to local government will have a lasting effect on everyone living in Devon, so have your say now.
The consultation will run for seven weeks, closing on Thursday 26 March.
You can find all the proposals at www.devonlgr.co.uk

We've been working closely with Devon County Council and the Environment Agency to deal with damage to the A379 road and one of our car parks caused by strong winds and waves earlier this week. Properties in Torcross have also been damaged - delivering another blow to the area after Storm Ingrid.
We'll continue to work with our partners to carry out further investigations and work out what next steps are available to us.
We are doing all we can to keep our communities safe and we'd like to thank you for your patience while essential work takes place.
More details of the work that is being carried out can be found on the news section of our website. You can also find updates on Devon County Council's website.
We've now issued our first Fixed Penalty Notices for abandoned vehicles and will continue to take enforcement action where necessary.
Abandoning a vehicle is an offence and may result in a Fixed Penalty Notice under the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act, or further enforcement action.
Please dispose of vehicles responsibly.
You can report an abandoned vehicle on our website.

Our statutory consultation on proposed changes to parking permits across the district went live yesterday and residents and businesses are invited to share their views.
It is proposed to increase parking permits charges across the district and change the parking conditions for the Dartmouth Business permit. We have also suggested allocating some long stay parking at Dartmouth Health Hub.
The consultation runs for 21 days, giving people the opportunity to comment on the updated permit structure and associated proposals
You can have your say here until 26 February 2026.
