We’re removing the small number of recycling bring banks across West Devon in the coming months as part of our ongoing waste and recycling service improvement programme.
Many of these banks have very low usage now, as all the materials are collected weekly as part of the household waste collection service, and are costly to run and maintain. They also are a repeated location for fly-tipping, which costs the council and its residents even more money to clear up.
Additional recycling material can also still be taken to household recycling centres in Tavistock or Okehampton.
Notices are being placed on the affected banks to inform residents that they will be removed in the following weeks.
