New bike pump track for Okehampton

skatepark

A new bike 'pump track' has opened in Okehampton after Section 106 support from West Devon Borough Council and funding from Okehampton Town Council.

We provided £38,907 of Section 106 funding towards an upgrade of the existing BMX area to form the pump track. The total cost was around £50,000, with Okehampton Town Council contributing the remainder.

The funding came from the Romansfield development, north of Crediton Road.

The new design includes a variety of elements suitable for different skills levels and riding styles.

The project helps the Council to reach its goal of supporting its communities with projects that really make a difference.

West Devon Mayor Cllr Paul Vachon was among those at the opening. The ribbon cutting was carried out by Okehampton Mayor Cllr Richard Colman.
