A cold weather health alert across England is in place until midday on Wednesday 8 January 2024.
Please look out for family and friends who might be vulnerable to low temperatures.
Because of the forecast, we have activated our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, which when temperatures drop below a certain level, we put in place additional accommodation for homeless people to prevent harm and death. We will review our protocol again on Saturday 4 January.
If you know of anyone who is sleeping rough, or if you are concerned about a rough sleeper, please contact a member of the Housing Team on 01803 861234. For outside of office hours, you can call us on 01803 861539. You can also connect with StreetLink, a service for reporting concerns about rough sleepers.

Are you taking down decorations and cards after Christmas?
You can recycle cards with no glitter, stuck on bits or shiny bits - but you can't recycle glittery cards, cards with shiny bits or stuck on decorations.
You can also save old cards to reuse them as gift tags next year.
