Thermal imaging cameras

thermal imaging camera

We're offering communities the chance to use thermal imaging cameras to analyse homes across the borough and see how they could be more energy efficient.

Our thermal imaging camera project will see up to eight communities offered the chance to use the cameras in homes and community buildings throughout the cold winter months. The information provided by the cameras will inform what retrofit work could be done to make the properties more energy efficient.

The scheme will help us to support people through the ongoing cost of living crisis, while also having the added benefit of helping to make homes more environmentally friendly.

Dickensian Evening cancelled

Yellow weather warning rain storm

With forecasts predicting wind gusts of up to 55 miles per hour this evening in Tavistock, the town's BID came to the difficult decision yesterday to cancel tonight's Dickensian Evening event.

The Met Office has put in place a yellow weather warning for strong winds from 3 p.m. today. The weather warning then changes to a more severe amber warning overnight.

This means that there is a chance of damage to buildings, it's likely that some bridges or roads could close, and a chance of power cuts, risk of injury and longer journey times.

Keep up to date with the latest weather warnings on the Met Office website.
