Deputy Leader, Cllr Mark Renders, and our housing team joined Plymouth Community Homes last week to mark the start of their work to deliver 16 new energy efficient and lower cost homes in Lifton.
We are supporting the development which will offer 10 affordable rent and six shared ownership properties.
The homes which will be available from Spring 2025 will be prioritised for those with a local connection to the area to meet the housing needs of the community - one of our top priorities.
As part of our work to improve the energy efficiency of homes and fight climate change, we are working with partners Tamar Energy Community to help future-proof some of the most poorly performing energy rated properties in West Devon.
You could save on your energy use and bills with a free energy efficiency upgrade to your property if you:
- Own your home
- Have heating that isn’t main’s gas
- Have an energy EPC rating of D, E, F, G
- Have a total household income of less than £36,000 per year
