Proud to support Tavi Pride

We were delighted last weekend to once again support Tavi Pride last weekend.

West Devon Councillors joined us in our support for Tavistock’s annual Pride event and for the entire LGBTQ+ community across the Borough.

Well done to Tavistock Pride on another fantastic event!

Tackling the sticky problem of chewing gum

A grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force, administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, will help us to clean up gum and reduce gum littering.

Along with South Hams District Council, we are are putting plans in place to remove the chewing gum on local streets after receiving a £18,754 grant to tackle the issue.

The councils are among 54 across the country that have successfully applied to the Chewing Gum Task Force, now in its third year, for funds to clean gum off pavements and prevent it from being littered again.

Beware of fraud!

If you are using car parks across West Devon, please remember to download the RingGo app from RingGo directly or through the official Android or Apple app stores only.

There have been a few instances where residents have fallen victim to fraudulent RingGo accounts after using QR codes.

Please note:

  • RingGo does NOT use QR codes to download its app
  • We do NOT use QR codes on any of our car park signs

Please be alert and do not download information for RingGo where a QR code has been used.
