Tomorrow is Remembrance Day (Saturday 11 November).
At 11 a.m. we will join the rest of the nation in observing a two-minute silence to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives fighting in war and conflict.
Earlier today we delivered a wreath to Great Western Railway's Poppy Train at Ivybridge Station. From there the train will travel to London Paddington Station and the wreath will be placed at the War Memorial on Platform One.
We know that trying to find an affordable place to live is really difficult for our residents at the moment. That is why we're doing everything we can to help to support those who find themselves in difficult circumstances and why housing continues to be one of our top priorities.
We have joined forces with councils across the country to urge the Government to take action when it comes to supporting those facing homelessness and in need of temporary accommodation.
Alongside district and borough councils across the country, we have signed a letter with actions that could help ease the financial pressures when providing temporary accommodation to our most vulnerable residents.

It doesn't take long before children grow up and fly the nest. Suddenly you find yourself in a house that is too big, with unused rooms and larger heating bills.

We want to help support our local families who are struggling in homes that are too small for their growing families. To do this we need to help make some of our larger social rented houses in the Borough available.
