Support for Young Care Leavers

Two one pound coins stacked on a five pound note. Money.

Young people who left the care system will receive a Council Tax discount until they turn 25.

We've offered the discount to help care leavers make the transition to adulthood, offering a form of financial assistance that others may get through their families and support network.

The scheme is available now.

We want to hear your thoughts about dog control across West Devon.

Have your say on the control of dogs within the Borough. Where they are allowed to go, be on a lead, access and restrictions and of course dog fouling.

Our consultation closes on Tuesday 14 November.

Support a Local Cause and Have Fun!

SeaMoor Lotto is a fun way to help good local causes that you care about. Since its launch, our Lotto has raised thousands of pounds for local West Devon small charities.

You can choose exactly which good cause you would like your money to go to, and unlike larger lotteries, most of the cost of your ticket comes straight back into the community.

Tickets are £1 in the weekly draw with the chance of winning weekly cash prizes of up to £25,000.

Enter before Saturday 28 October to win a luxury theatre trip worth £1,500! Whatever your favourite theatrical flavour is, from West End musicals or Shakespeare at the Globe, to immersive theatre or local community productions, create your perfect theatre trip! Theatre not your thing? You can now even choose to take the £1,500 as cash!

It really is a win-win: even if you don’t win a cash prize you can be happy knowing that you are making a real difference to a good cause within the Borough!
