Wildfires can begin with just a spark, or a gust of wind blowing from either a BBQ or campfire flame and can take many days to put out. This impacts hugely on our wildlife, ecosystems and local communities.
When out and about around West Devon, you can help prevent wildfires by:
- Taking a picnic instead of having a BBQ or a campfire
- Taking your litter home
- Putting cigarettes out safely
