Tomorrow is the big day - local elections for district wards in the South Hams take place tomorrow on Thursday 4 May.
Polling stations will be open across the South Hams from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The 4 May elections are the first where you will need to bring photo ID to vote at a polling station or you will not be able to vote.
You'll only need to bring one form of photo ID. Make sure that you bring the original version and not a photocopy.
Acceptable forms of photo ID
- Passport - issued by the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, a British Overseas Territory, an EEA state or a Commonwealth country.
- Driving licence issued by the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or an EEA state. This includes a provisional driving licence.
- Voter Authority Certificate.
- A Blue Badge.
- Older Person's Bus Pass / Disabled Person's Bus Pass.
- Freedom Pass.
- Identity card bearing the Proof of Age Standards Scheme hologram (a PASS card).
- Biometric immigration document.
- MOD Form 90 (Defence Identity Card).
- National identity card issued by an EEA state.
- Anonymous Elector's Document.
Dozens of polling stations will open up tomorrow across the district - but you can only vote in your dedicated polling station.
