Update on Hosepipe Ban

hosepipe ban

A hosepipe ban is now in place in parts of Devon and Cornwall.

The South West Water region is still seeing the impact of last year’s exceptionally dry weather and reservoir levels are lower than normal for this time of year.

South West Water is acting now to protect water resources and the environment, to help rivers and reservoirs to recharge ahead of the summer months.

Activities covered by the hosepipe ban include using hosepipes to water gardens or clean cars.

The hosepipe ban will be lifted when the area receives drought breaking rainfall.

Use the South West Water Online Tool to check if the ban is in your area.

Free Rural Support and Wellbeing for Farming Communities

farming wellbeing course

New Leaf Life Design is running a series of wellbeing workshops for those in the farming community. The workshops offer attendees the opportunity to focus on particular topics that help them think about health and wellbeing, as well as their farming business.

Workshops are taking place across the South West throughout May and June 2023.

Try the SeaMoor Lotto and Support a Good Cause!

seamoor lotto break

The SeaMoor Lotto is a lottery for the people, by the people. It’s a fun way to help good causes without giving up precious time.

Tickets are just £1 in the weekly draw, and you can choose exactly which good cause you would like your money to go to. More of your money goes to your chosen cause than with any other major lottery – you can see the exact breakdown, where every penny goes, on our website.

Not only will you be in with the chance of winning weekly cash prizes of up to £25,000, but if you enter before Saturday 27 May, you will be in with the chance of winning an amazing European City Break!

Unlike larger lotteries, the majority of your ticket purchase comes back into the community AND the odds of winning a prize are much better, at an amazing 50:1. It really is a win-win: even if you don’t win a cash prize you can be content in knowing that you are making a real difference!

Since its launch the SeaMoor Lotto has raised thousands of pounds for small charities - so why not join in? Visit our website to see which good causes you can support, and buy a ticket today: www.seamoorlotto.co.uk
