If you are planning to host a street party to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, Devon County Council is inviting communities to apply for a free street party licence.
Please apply using their online basic street party application to close off your street, this is available on their website.
The cut-off date is 26 March.
If you want to sell alcohol, have regulated entertainment or late night refreshment and don't hold a premises licence or club premises certificate, you can apply for a Temporary Event Notices (TEN). This gives you temporary permission to carry out these licensable activities. Please ensure you apply early. The Coronation Big Lunch is a national street party that you can get involved with in West Devon! On 7 May, communities will be encouraged to come together, celebrate and get to know each other better. Bring the Coronation festivities into the heart of your community!

In light of His Majesty's historical presence within charity, roll up your sleeves to help out a local group or join a national charity on 8 May.
This is a great opportunity to reflect on the legacy of His Majesty's service and showcase the impact of volunteering within communities.
