Reducing our Carbon Footprint and increasing Biodiversity

Should we enable rewilding on some of our land?

rewilding

As a District Council, South Hams currently manages about 50 hectares of green space, which is cut every couple of weeks.

Our target is to increase biodiversity on the land we manage by at least 10% by 2025. To help us achieve this goal, we're considering enabling rewilding on the areas of land that do not need to be kept short. Find out more.

Now we need to know what you think of this idea. Please complete our short survey to share your views by 5 August 2021.

What would change?

Rob Sekula
