Resource Futures Waste Advisor working in South Hams July-September 2017

 I would like to make you aware that Yvonne Twelves will be working in the South Hams area over the next 12 weeks as a Recycling Waste Advisor.

 Employed by Resource Futures, and engaged for this project by the Devon Waste Partnership, she will be actively working to increase household participation in recycling. The overall aim of the project is to increase recycling participation throughout our District by a minimum of 3%.

 Initially participation monitoring, she will go ahead of the recycling crews on collection day, to give a true reflection of actual recycling materials presented for collection. The information will be recorded and used to inform and influence future recycling messages/information for households with the aim of reducing contamination and increasing the quality of the recyclables we collect.

In between this schedule she will be door stepping to speak to residents offering recycling and waste advice. Once the participation monitoring is complete she will return to the same areas to speak with residents and offer advice on recycling and any waste issues they may want to discuss.
