In accordance with Regulation 14 of the Town and Country Planning
(Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended), notice is
given that Cornwall Council, Devon County Council and West Devon Borough
Council jointly adopted the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape
World Heritage Site Supplementary Planning Document [the SPD] on 31st May 2017.
The
SPD explains the importance and Outstanding Universal Value of the
World Heritage Site and provides advice for all decision makers,
developers and the public on ensuring that the responsibilities
conferred by this status are fully taken into consideration and
opportunities taken advantage of in preparation and implementation of
development plans and in the determination of planning applications.
