
West Devon residents are being encouraged to try their hand
at composting this month with the launch of a home composting road shows.
In partnership with Devon County Council this series of roadshow events are set to promote and
encourage residents to start composting, one of the inexpensive and easy
options available to residents when disposing of their garden and kitchen waste .
At each event, West Devon Borough Council’s recycling team
will be on hand to offer green-fingered households advice, discounted
composters and tips on how easy it is to start composting food and green waste,
such as leaves, grass and clippings from their own gardens.
Road shows take place between 9.30am and 3pm in;
Hatherleigh Bridge Street Car Park on Tuesday 16th May.
Bedford Square Tavistock on Thursday 18th May
Okehampton (Waitrose) Market Street car park on Thursday 25th May
Composters will be available to buy on the day, anyone buying a composter will receive a free composting book. Alternatively you can collect in person from, Council Offices at Kilworthy Park, and Okehampton
