Free on-line Bystander training

Learn how to intervene and prevent harmful and dangerous situations by signing up for free active bystander training. Swale Borough Council have teamed up with Folkestone & Hythe District Council to fund free on-line training sessions as part of our Safer Streets Project.  The training will equip people with the skills to recognise and react to dangerous situations and how to offer support to others who are in difficult circumstances.  This training is open to all members of the public and we would very much welcome companies and businesses in the Borough to encourage their staff to sign up and learn more about becoming a safe but active bystander.

Help to Grow business  course programme

Canterbury Christ Church University Business School brings you this Help to Grow: Management Course. A twelve-week program aimed at business leaders seeking to enhance their management capabilities and drive growth within their organisations. Combining online and face-to-face sessions, along with 1-to-1 mentoring and peer networking opportunities, the course offers a flexible and comprehensive learning experience. With just one session per week, it accommodates participants' existing work and personal commitments, allowing them to apply their learnings directly to their roles. By the end of the course, participants are equipped to lead initiatives focused on increasing profitability, fostering innovation, and driving overall growth within their organisations.

Join the Arts Council for an in-person session  on Thu, 9 May 2024 15:00 - 17:00 BST at Sheerness Dockyard Church to discover what National Lottery Project Grants are all about and learn how to apply to bring your own project to life. This event is open to everyone, individual artists, creative practitioners, community organisations and cultural organisations across Swale, Medway and Kent.
