Water Support Scheme 

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has set up a support scheme with Severn Trent Water to help residents struggling to pay their water bills, with up to £150 available for households who meet the criteria. Further information can be found online. Water Support Scheme | Instructions (stoke.gov.uk)

Adult Social Care Local Account

£161,000 grants available as part of Community Mental Health Transformation Programme

A Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent wide grant scheme has been launched, with community and voluntary groups having until Monday 13 February 2023 to apply for grants of up to £20,000 to support and help young adults with mental health issues across the county. Grant scheme funding | details.

Say “Hello” to the residents of Stokie Street


Together with a local animation company, VAST’s Community Health Champions project has launched Stokie Street, a series of animations to help Stoke-on-Trent residents understand important health information and make informed decisions about their health, care, and wellbeing. Read more about the new Stokie Street initiative.

Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme Mental Health Team

The ARRS Mental Health Team is a relatively new service that has been operating within Primary Care for almost two years, and forms part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme.

The team deliver access to an integrated, patient-centred service with the aim of preventing, reducing or delaying the need for more specialist, secondary services. About the ARRS Mental Health Team

Launch of wellbeing activities for domestic abuse survivors

Meet the team freeing up bed spaces with a secure access solution


Revival says a third of all referrals to its hospital discharge service based at Royal Stoke in December were patients needing to give care providers access to their home. They’re providing solutions by fitting key safes so care can be provided in the community to free up bed spaces for local people in need. Read more about the bed based support.

Housing provider is breaking down barriers to homeownership for local people

 

According to the Office of National Statistics, house prices are now 58 times higher than in 1971. Alongside this, homeowners aged 25-34 are said to have dropped by nearly half in the last three decades. As a result Staffs Housing is stepping in to make sure local people can get on the housing ladder with affordable options. Breaking down home ownership barriers | Read Jamie's story.
