Dementia Connect


Dementia Connect combines local support virtually, via the telephone or through online advice and offers personalised support to anyone who is living with dementia or a mild cognitive impairment, as well as their carers and families.

Cost of living support for people affected by dementia

Be Warm. Be Safe campaign


Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has launched its "Be Warm. Be Safe" campaign in an attempt to raise awareness and limit the impact that the cost of living crisis could have on the number of accidental house fires across the county. You can read more about the campaign here.

Dementia support in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire


If you have concerns about your memory or if you have noticed changes in your ability to manage everyday tasks then please speak to your GP, there is help and support available. Early diagnosis is key to putting into place the right support so that people with dementia can still live well.

The latest Dementia-Friendly Churches newsletter is now available online. Find out about when the next virtual network meetings are due for the county, as well as information about the Head to Heart resource and how it can help families living through dementia.

There is also an update about the Dementia Friendly Schools Network which launched this term. Special
congratulations to St Paul's C.E. Primary School in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent who have been recognised as being a Dementia-Friendly school. Not only that, but they are the first school to achieve this status within the diocese. To read the newsletter, please click here.

Free memory morning event


As One is a dedicated social enrichment and wellbeing service, helping people aged 18+ to live life to the fullest. 

Join them on Monday 19 December for a free festive feel-good morning between 9.30 and 11.30am at St. Giles' church in Newcastle. There will be stalls, tea, coffee and an entertainer. To view the poster please click here.
