Stoke-on-Trent City Council and partner organisations have come together to open a new unmanned dementia stall at Longton Indoor Market, The Strand, Longton, ST3 1BZ to provide information and advice about the support available in the area for anyone that is affected by dementia.
Earlier in the year, an unmanned stall was launched at Tunstall Indoor Market, 35 Butterfield Place, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 5TP. Both stalls are open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Herbert Protocol
The Herbert Protocol is a national scheme which encourages carers, family or friends to compile useful information which could be used in the event of a vulnerable person with dementia going missing.
It consists of a form that can be filled in with vital information about the person at risk. In the event of a person with dementia going missing, this information can then be quickly passed to the police to help locate the person. For more information click here to view the leaflet. Dementia support activities in November
Alzheimer’s Society is a vital source of support and a powerful force for change for everyone affected by dementia. In Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire there are a number of groups and programmes that are available throughout November.

The South Staffordshire dementia support service provides personalised help to anyone affected by dementia. Singing for the Brain
Do you know someone living with dementia who enjoys singing? Singing for the Brain brings people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love, in a fun and friendly environment.
